Questions

Everything clients ask before signing

If your question is not covered here, call 909-292-2279 and ask. We would rather answer a hard question early than surprise you later.

How quickly do you respond to a support request?
Contract clients get a median first response of 17 minutes during business hours, measured across all of 2025. Critical incidents — a server down, a site offline, a suspected compromise — are picked up immediately and escalated to an engineer who knows your environment. Our written service level commits to 30 minutes for critical, 2 hours for high, and same business day for standard requests.
What does managed IT support actually cost?
Managed support starts at $89 per user per month for offices of ten or more seats, which includes unlimited remote support, patch management, monitoring, antivirus and endpoint detection, asset tracking and quarterly reviews. Servers are billed separately at $189 each per month. Smaller offices and project-only clients are quoted hourly at $145. Every proposal is a single page with one figure on it.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
The initial term is three months, because stabilising a neglected environment takes about that long and we want to be judged on the result rather than the first fortnight. After that the agreement continues month to month with 30 days' notice on either side.
What happens to our documentation if we leave?
You receive it. Network diagrams, asset inventory, licence records, configuration exports and credentials are handed over in a standard format within five business days of a termination notice, at no charge. We also offer a one-hour handover call with the incoming provider.
Do you work with businesses outside Pomona?
Yes. We provide same-day on-site coverage across most of the eastern San Gabriel Valley and western Inland Empire, and remote-first support anywhere in California. Project work such as cabling or a server migration is quoted with travel included where relevant.
Can you support Mac and Linux as well as Windows?
Yes. Roughly one in five endpoints we manage is macOS, mostly in design and engineering teams, and we manage Linux servers for several clients running line-of-business applications. Mixed environments are normal and priced the same per seat.
Do you provide hardware, or do we buy our own?
Either. We hold accounts with the major business distributors and will procure at transparent cost plus a stated handling fee, or we will spec the machines and you buy them yourself. We have no volume rebate arrangement that would bias the recommendation.
What is included in the free network assessment?
A 90-minute on-site visit covering device inventory, a live backup restore test, a Microsoft 365 identity and security review, a look at your firewall and switching, and a written risk register with priorities and rough costs. There is no obligation and the document is yours regardless of what you decide.
Are you able to help with cyber-insurance questionnaires?
Yes, and we do it often. We will sit with you and complete the technical sections honestly, flag anything that would need remediation to answer favourably, and provide supporting evidence such as policy screenshots and backup test reports.
Do you offer after-hours or emergency support?
Contract clients have access to an emergency line 24 hours a day for outages affecting the business. Planned after-hours work such as migrations and switch replacements is scheduled deliberately outside business hours and is included in project scope rather than billed as overtime.
